Hydnum umbilicatum  Peck (1902)

This is the smaller Hedgehog and it differs from the main one, Hydnum repandum, not only by the smaller size, but also by the appreciably larger spores.

One of the first mushrooms we ever collected. Comparing to Hydnum repandum -- "the smaller guys has the bigger... ...spores"
